Are you looking for a cat that will make you work harder to gain their trust? Isn’t that what rescue is all about? I arrived here as my needs were not being met in my previous home. I came from a multi cat household and I didn’t have too much interaction with humans, which has left me a little bit fearful of them. It has taken me a few weeks to settle in here, but I am slowly learning to trust. I like to be up high on shelving so I can keep an eye on you and stay in my comfort zone. I would like some shelving or places I can climb and call my own in my new home, perhaps even a cat tower or two?  There is one thing you can do to help me climb down and start being a little more social, that is encouraging me with treats! I ADORE treats, it is like all my fears go away when I see my trusted humans arriving shaking that Dreamies bag.

I like a little bit of a head scratch and a gentle stroke down my body, this affection thing can be quite nice after all! I will slalem myself in between your legs and put my little paws on your knees once we are making friends. Sudden movements and noises will make me bolt, but I will soon pop my head out again when it feels safe. I really am a lovely girl who hasn’t had the best start to life so perhaps you could be my olive branch?

I have been kept as an indoor only cat before, but due to my sometimes nervous disposition, I am looking for a home in a very safe location where I can come and go as I please when I am ready. Being kept indoors again moving forward would not be beneficial to me.

Calicos are known for our dazzling good looks, please don’t let this be the only reason you adopt me. I am looking for someone who has owned cats as an adult before to give me the best start.
