Hello, I’m Dusty Bun! I’m a beautiful black cat with a very excitable shaky tail and a big heart that loves unconditionally. I’m writing to you because sometimes people don’t stop long enough to see cats like us, and I’m hoping you will. There are three of us though, let me tell you all about us. You have good old Dusty Bun (me), my beautiful sister is Demmie and her little daughter (my niece) is Eleven. We’re not just housemates. We’re family. We’ve grown up together, slept curled together and faced the world side by side so far. We feel safest when we’re together. I am the most confident and lively one out of the three and I am as affectionate as they come. I love invading personal space and I’ll follow you, talk to you and remind you every day that you’re loved. My sister Demmie is a little more shy than me but a gentle and sweet soul, she likes to watch from the side lines and appreciates slow and gentle affection around her head and cheeks. My niece Eleven is a middle balance of the three of us, she is confident but not as bouncy as me and sticks close to her Mum to take care of her.
Black cats are often called mini panthers. But here’s the hard truth we live with every day, black cats are much harder to rehome. People overlook us and pass us by and it makes us feel sad. Multiply one cat by three and you now have three black cats which makes our chances even smaller. Sometimes it feels like we’re invisible. But please believe this, we are so very lovable. We know we may be here with the humans in orange for a little while (as lovely as they are) but we would love to be in our forever home. We have overheard them say that they will never give up on us and that they know our dream life is out there waiting for us.
We’re all affectionate, kind and sweet natured cats who are simply looking for a loving home in a safe location, so we can explore the world as risk free as we can. High traffic and busy areas are not our vibe thankyou.
We know asking someone to open their home to three black cats is a big thing. But anyone who does… anyone who chooses us… will be true heroes in Gables’ eyes and in our hearts forever. We promise loyalty, comfort, laughter, purrs and the deep, unbreakable bond that cats give.
If you can see us…really see us…
we are ready to love you with everything we have. 🖤🖤🖤
