Who are you? My new home? Well before you fall completely in love with me, let me tell you what I am looking for. I have had a tough time of late and I am still settling into Gables. As a result of past trauma, I am very wary of people. Luckily the nice people here are taking very good care of me, even when I am a bit grumpy! I am getting braver and braver each day. I no longer hide away, especially if I am waiting for my next yummy meal, but I am still not keen on being stroked. I will hiss to let you know clearly that I am uncomfortable. As long as you listen to my signals and respect my boundaries, I will not lash out in fear. Because I am not really a ‘people’ kind of cat, I am looking for a working rural home where I can be kept busy and hopefully help with any rodent issues the lovely rural locations often have. Equally, I would suit someone who is content with having a cat come and go as they please and have no expectations of me. I will be happy to be set up in your stable or barn as long as you live on the land. All I ask for in return is meals put down for me daily, a soft bed or two and for me to potter about your land freely. Who knows, in time we could get closer and start forging a relationship.
