Cats can find the move to Gables a little stressful, it is a big change after all. Some take a little longer to settle then others and this is the case for our lovely girl…Lovely.

Lovely has a heart of gold just waiting to shine. But right now, she blows a little hot and cold. On first approach she makes it clear that she is uncomfortable by hissing and vocalizing her feelings. She is a lady that makes her intentions clear. But spend a bit of time with her, give her some head scratches, and soon she is rolling around and making biscuits like the best of them. She just can’t resist them really! Lovely is looking for a quiet home with older, cat savvy kids and someone who can understand cat body language, to know what she is and isn’t comfortable with. Lovely has flea allergy dermatitis and just like her mind, her skin is a little sensitive. She will need to be kept up to date with regular vet prescribed flea treatment and her skin looked after to keep her healthy. But be warned, this little love is not keen on formal handling right now, and she will make it very clear that she is unhappy with treatment. With time, patience and kindness, we are sure she will continue to blossom. She already lives up to her name in her heart, but we can’t wait for her new family out there to see it.

Rescue is not a cheap way of getting an animal, it is giving a pet in need a new way of life.
