Do you have the biggest heart and a loving home to welcome a special girl like me into? If your answer is yes, please read on to find out what type of home I am looking for. I was found in the middle of a very busy road, confused and frightened. A lovely member of the public stopped all traffic, picked me up and took me into Gables for safety. It was soon discovered that I have very limited vision, no wonder I was so frightened when I was found! My mouth is also in extremely poor condition, so I will also be due a much needed dental before I go home.
On the plus side, I am incredibly affectionate. I love nothing more than being picked up and nestling into your neck or the crook of an arm. I feel very safe and loved like this as it can be a bit scary not knowing where anything is in a new environment. I will not be suitable for first time cat owners and I am looking for an experienced cat owner who has owned a blind cat or one with limited sight before. I will need a home where there is routine and structure so I can get familiar with my daily routine. Furniture, food bowls, litter trays must always stay in the same place please to avoid confusion and disorientation. Sharp objects I can bump into must be removed or covered with something soft please. I don’t need to be carried around the home, the scent glands on my paws allow me to leave a trail of scent that I can follow to keep my setting familiar and find my way back to my cosy bed!
My new owners will need to be able to take me to the lovely vets in Ivybridge so that they can continue looking after my health needs.
Just because I have limited vision, it doesn’t mean I can’t live a normal life with you. I still want to curl up on your lap and meow at you when I want my food! Special cats like me cats can adapt well to the loss of sight and I tend to use my other senses, such as my whiskers to judge distance. I really am a snuggle bunny and just need some extra TLC, perhaps I could be the girl of your dreams and you can be my eyes of the world?
