Dogalogue
Every dog that comes into Gables has a temperament assessment, carried out by a qualified dog behaviourist, to determine what type of home will be suitable for them.
Some of our dogs may still need help with toilet training and to learn how to be left alone, so need to be matched with someone who has the experience and time for this. Others may not be suitable to live with young children – therefore we may choose to rehome them to a family with older or no children. Some dogs may be fine to live with any age children and other pets so it all depends on the individual dog. As you can imagine these sorts of dogs are very popular so we have a waiting list of people looking for child friendly or cat/dog friendly dogs so please do register with us so we can consider you.
If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs you will need to complete a dog adoption application form, which asks questions about your home and lifestyle so we can match you to any potential dogs you may be interested in. You can also complete this form if you want to be added to our waiting list for when a suitable dog comes in to our care, if there are none currently suitable.
Why are we no longer open for viewing the dogs? Please click here for more info….
Please Note: We don’t put all of our puppies on here, as most of them stay in foster homes until they are old enough to be adopted. Therefore we urge anyone who is looking for a puppy or very specific type of dog to register with us by completing a dog adoption application form. We can contact you when a suitable dog or puppy becomes available for adoption.
If a dog is listed as reserved is it still important to register your interest, as we do take more second reserves on animals. This is because people can change their minds and cancel a reserve at anytime.
