Hello, I’m Blue Rose 🌹
I’m a gentle, loving girl who’s ready to swap racing life for something much softer and cosier. I adore being close to my people and one of my favourite things in the world is resting my head in your lap while you give me a gentle neck scratch. I’m very happy to settle quietly on my bed and just enjoy being near you, soaking up the calm of home life.

I’m very good for handling and have been an absolute star for the vet, so you won’t need to worry about me when I go for my check-ups or health visits. Grooming is something I really enjoy too. If you’re brushing me and stop, I’ll let you know I’d quite like you to carry on by leaning in or nudging you for more.

Toys don’t really do much for me. I might give them a quick sniff, but I’d much rather curl up and relax instead. Food, however, is always appreciated and I share my meals and treats nicely without any fuss.

As an ex-racing greyhound, I’ve never lived in a home before, so I’m still learning how everything works. I’ll need a kind and patient family who are happy to show me the ropes and help me with some basic training as I settle into this new world.

I walk nicely on the lead and enjoy getting out and about, but if I spot something exciting like a squirrel or a cat, I might pull a little. Because of this, I need to stay on lead and wear my muzzle whenever we’re out in public. I’m very comfortable wearing it and it doesn’t stop me enjoying my walks at all.

I’m friendly with other dogs and greet them politely. If I have a dog friend to live with, especially one my size or bigger, I’d be very happy. I can be playful when I’m comfortable and sometimes I get a bit vocal when I’m excited, so I’d suit a dog who enjoys play just as much as I do.

I’m looking for a calm, loving home where I can relax, feel safe, and finally enjoy the life I’ve been waiting for. If you’re searching for a sweet, affectionate companion who’s happiest curled up close to you, I might be your perfect match.
