Hi, I’m Fauxpaw! 🐾

I’m a big, handsome young lad with an even bigger personality. Life has changed quite a lot for me recently, and through no fault of my own I found myself looking for a new family after my owner became too unwell to care for me. I’ve found kennel life a bit confusing and overwhelming, but everyone here says that when I’m away from the kennels, I’m an absolute joy to be around.

I love being out and about with people. I’m fun, energetic and always ready for the next adventure. If you’ve got a tennis ball, we’ll probably be best friends already! Fetch is one of my favourite games and I’m very committed to it. In fact, I’ll bring the ball straight back and throw it at your feet to make sure you haven’t forgotten we’re playing.

I’m a clever boy who already knows how to sit, and I’d love someone who enjoys training and helping me learn new things. I have lovely manners around food and treats, and I’m very happy to share.

I’ll be honest about one thing though… brushes are not my favourite. They seem a bit suspicious if you ask me. Right now I find them quite worrying, so I’d love a patient owner who can help me learn that grooming isn’t so scary after all. The good news is that I’m brilliant for handling and health checks, and I really do want to please people.

I’ve lived a life where I didn’t get as much exercise as a young dog like me needed, so I’m still working on my lead manners. Sometimes my excitement gets the better of me and I pull, but with consistency and plenty of adventures, I’m sure I’ll improve.I really enjoy being around my people and I don’t like being left alone for long. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be part of your day, your plans and your adventures, I could be just the boy you’re looking for. I travel well in the car too, so I’m always ready to jump in and come along for the ride.

When I meet other dogs, I’m friendly and enthusiastic. I can get a little excited when saying hello, but I mean well. I’ve even lived happily with a tiny Chihuahua before! When dogs get a bit too wild for my liking, I tend to step away rather than join in.

What I’m really looking for is someone who sees past the fact that I’m currently finding kennel life difficult and recognises the loving, funny, loyal companion underneath. Give me a tennis ball, a comfy sofa, plenty of company and a chance to learn, and I promise I’ll give you my whole heart.
