I’m Lorenzo, an ex-racing Greyhound who’s swapped the track for a chance at a real home, and I’m throwing myself into this next chapter with a lot of enthusiasm. I’m a confident, lively boy who loves meeting new people and making friends. If you’ve got time for fuss, cuddles, and a bit of fun, I’ll happily be right by your side.

I really enjoy affection and I’m not shy about asking for more. If you stop stroking me, don’t be surprised if I lean into you or gently remind you I’m still there. I’m great for handling and have been brilliant with the vet too, so you won’t need to worry about check-ups. I also quite enjoy being brushed and will happily relax while you give me a groom.

Toys are one of my favourite things, especially soft, squeaky ones. They really bring out my playful side. I’m also very food-motivated and I take treats nicely, although I will help myself if anything tasty is left within reach, so tidy worktops are a must in my future home.

As I’ve never lived in a home before, I’m still learning the ropes and I don’t know any basic commands yet. I’m keen though, and with kind, consistent guidance I’ll enjoy learning what being a family dog is all about.

When we’re out and about, I walk nicely on the lead and don’t pull much at all. I do need to stay on lead and wear my muzzle in public, as I have a strong prey drive, so my future family will need to be comfortable managing that. I’m happy wearing my harness and muzzle and don’t let it spoil my walks one bit.

I get on well with other dogs and greet them politely. If given the chance in a safe, enclosed space, I enjoy a gentle game of chase, but I’m just as happy to relax and soak up attention from my humans. I’d be fine living with another dog, but I’m not able to live with cats or small animals.

I’m looking for a home where I can be shown patience, kindness, and understanding as I adjust to life off the track. I’d suit first-time owners who’ve done their research on Greyhounds and are ready to help me discover just how lovely home life can be.
