Hello! I’m Quarry — a sweet, playful girl who loves a bit of fuss but is just as happy to go off and do my own thing when the cuddle time is over. I’m friendly, gentle, and curious, with a soft nature and a lot of potential just waiting to shine through with the right family.

I’ve got a really fun playful side, especially when it comes to toys. I love chasing and pouncing on them (tennis balls are my favourite!), even if I’m not quite sure how to pick them up properly yet. I’d love someone who can show me how to play with confidence and help me build on the skills I’ve already got.

I’m a very good girl for vet checks and handling — I stay polite and calm — and I tolerate grooming even though it’s not my favourite thing. I’m a clever girl too! I can sit, give both paws, and lie down when you ask. I love learning, especially when it’s fun and upbeat. On walks, I’m a strong, enthusiastic explorer. I do pull quite a bit because I’m so alert and interested in everything around me. I’m always looking, sniffing, watching — like I’m trying to solve a puzzle only I can see! I’ll need some patient training to help me settle and walk nicely.

With other dogs, I can be a little shy at first and might bark because I’m unsure. But once I know everything is okay, I become friendly, social, and very playful. Off lead in a safe space with a dog I trust, I love a good chase game! I might enjoy living with a confident, friendly dog who can help me feel secure — but I’d be just as happy being your one-and-only with plenty of playtime.

When I meet new people, I start off a bit shy, but I come around quickly. I like to say hello in my own quiet way, and once I’ve warmed up, I’m gentle and engaging. I’ll need to stay on lead in public for at least six months while I continue building confidence and learning the ropes.

I’m looking for a family who has owned active, slightly nervous dogs before — people who understand that I need encouragement, structure, and kindness while I grow into the confident girl I’m meant to be. I’m suitable to live with children aged 8 and up, as long as they’re calm and respectful.

If you’re patient, loving, and ready for a playful friend who’s eager to learn and blossom, then I’d really love to meet you.
