Hi! I’m Scrat — a big-hearted, bouncy, and irresistibly charming ex-racing greyhound who’s ready to trade the racetrack for a loving home and a new adventure. I’ve got energy, personality, and a love of cuddles that could melt even the coldest day.
When I’m in the paddocks or getting ready for my walk, I can hardly contain my excitement — there’s just so much to see, smell, and explore! I do a happy little bounce (or two!) and wag my tail like mad when I know it’s walk time. Once we’re out and moving, I settle beautifully and walk with a lovely rhythm. I like to stop often to sniff the grass, check out every scent, and take in the world around me — I’m quite the explorer at heart!

Back inside, I turn into a soft, snuggly boy who loves nothing more than leaning in close for affection. I adore being stroked and brushed — if you stop too soon, I’ll give you a gentle look as if to say, “You missed a bit!” I’m very people-oriented and love meeting new faces. I’ll greet you with wagging enthusiasm and then melt into a cuddle once I get to know you.

Food is one of my great joys in life! I’m very food-motivated, which means I’ll be a quick learner once we start some training together. I don’t guard my food or toys, but I am known to do a bit of cheeky “counter surfing” if I think you’ve left something tasty unattended — I’m working on it!
Playtime is another of my favourite things. I love soft, squeaky toys and will toss them around with glee before curling up for a well-earned nap. Like many ex-racers, I don’t know basic commands yet, but I’m eager to please and respond well to praise and positive reinforcement.

As an ex-racer, I’ll need to stay on lead and wear a muzzle in public — it’s just part of keeping everyone safe. I get along wonderfully with other dogs, and I’d be happy living with a friendly, gentle companion.
I’d love a home that has a nice routine, soft places to sleep, and plenty of time for walks, play, and cuddles. I’d be happiest with people who appreciate my fun-loving side but also enjoy my snuggly, affectionate nature.

If you’re looking for a dog who’ll make you laugh, keep you company on gentle adventures, and shower you with affection, I think we’d make a brilliant team. I’ve got a big heart, a silly streak, and endless love to give — I just need the right family to share it with.
