As you can see, I am a big handsome boy but with an even bigger personality! I am looking for an experienced cat owner to take me on and give me the home I need. Although I am absolutely gorgeous, there a few things that bother me and I will lash out at you if my boundaries are breached. I do not like hands reaching over my head to stroke me and I would be very grateful if you could see it from my point of view. It makes me feel threatened and I will do what a cat instinctively needs to do and that is swipe you or try to bite you to tell you to stop. I like having short, little strokes along my body and I enjoy having my neck and chin scratched. Head to tail body stroking is far too much for me and again, I will try and stop you from doing this. Some cats like it, but a lot of us find this very invasive. Just imagine, if you were just sitting comfortably and your human friend started doing this to you, surely you would feel uncomfortable and ask them to stop? That being said, I really am a sweet boy! I am just looking for a quiet home where my new owners are happy to leave me be if necessary. But anyway, I don’t want to focus on all the stuff I don’t like, how about the stuff I do like! I like playing, sleeping, enjoying gentle and slow head and neck rubs and I adore food. I enjoy a warm lap to sit on and will fall asleep with you. I am not too keen if you need to move and disrupt me though. I am looking for a rural home so I can have the run of the land and avoid other cats where necessary, I prefer my own space. If you are just looking to share your home with a furry companion and are happy to be content with a respectful relationship, I could be the man for you. I would benefit from lots of enrichment as this will keep my brain stimulated and paws busy.
